Brass Quintet Concerts and Programs
The repertoire of The Kona Brass quintet covers a wide range of lively music from ancient 15th century to modern 21st century works. Programs are all customized, and they can be serious, humorous, secular, sacred, jazzy, patriotic, or international. Our goal is to make our music accessible and entertaining so that it can be an integral part of your life’s special events.

Hawaiian - a selection of popular Hawaiian songs from the 1930s and 1940s
Jazz Classics - features music of the Jazz Masters from the 1910s through the 1960s
July 4th Picnic - Old-fashioned 4th of July Concert
Christmas Celebration - rich and beautiful Christmas melodies
Christmas Carol Service - sacred hymns, scriptures, and historical dialog for a moving tribute to the Christmas story
European Classics - features music from European master composers, from the 1500s through to the 1900s
New Year's Celebration - New Year's Eve or New Year's Day festive music
Patriotic Tribute - Memorial Day, Veterans' Day, or similar national tribute - features patriotic music, marches, and American classical music
Oktoberfest - lively music to create the atmosphere of a Bavarian celebration!
Global Party - classical music and folk melodies from around the world - Italy, France, England, Ireland, Austria, Germany, Russia, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Spain, and the USA
Thanksgiving - featuring American and Hawaiian music of all styles, including classical, jazz, folk songs, movie themes, and patriotic music
Birthday Celebration - pick your favorite musical style, and we'll create the program!
Renaissance Festival Party - features medieval European music
Tribute to King David Kalakaua: Hawaii's Merry Monarch and Renaissance King - a concert honoring King Kalakaua with lively music inspired by his 1881 round-the-world tour and love of dancing
Easter Service - Sacred music and hymns for holy week and Easter
Life Memorial Services - an elegant remembrance
Concert or Reception Entertainment
The theme programs can be offered in two formats - as a concert or as background music for a dinner or reception.
“Talk-Story” Concerts
Programs intended as concert entertainment will be organized and performed with explanations to the audience about the works. We strive for a casual “classical pops” concert environment where we give the audience some historical insight into the composer, traditional uses, or custom of performing each piece. We focus on the people, events, and interesting trivia!
One-hour concert $1200
or Per-person Pricing for ticketed events $12 per attendee
Discounted rates are available to non-profit organizations for community fund-raising events. Please contact us.
Dinner or Reception Music
This tasteful background music will create a special mood for your event. The music selection is customized for the specific event and audience, and the program is performed without any vocal interruptions. The music will be organized into sets of approximately 20 minutes of music and 15 minutes of rest per set.
One-hour event $1000
or Per-person Pricing for ticketed events $10 per attendee
Two-hour event $1500
or Per-person Pricing for ticketed events $15 per attendee

Please note: The prices listed for all programs are for performances only. Prices for scheduling on major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, December 24, December 25, December 31, January 1) are double. Unique program requirements can be accommodated for additional fees. Please contact us for further details. All services are subject to Hawaii General Excise Tax.
